We rode up to the park in EQ to catch the concert tonight and let me tell you the band did not disappoint. The band is Gypsy and they were absolutly spot on! This venue specifically is an incredible local, intimate show that can pose problems for some bands and artists but tonight the weather was beautiful but more importantly the vocals were absolutly amazing!
Gypsy faithfully recreates Stevie Nicks’ live show with striking accuracy. Janet Soluri gives a stunning performance as Stevie Nicks with spot-on vocals and visuals that magically capture Nicks’ stage presence.
The feel of authenticity in Soluri’s performance is enhanced by the lush backing vocals of Deanna Carroll and Terry Pavia. The ever talented Adam Ditre fills the roll of a Stevie Nicks guitarist with effortless fidelity and musicianship.
From the other side of the stage comes authentic synth textures and keyboard parts tastefully executed by Brian Connolly who has all the right sounds from Stevie Nicks’ biggest hits. A blazing performance by Adam Tese on saxophone is matched by his skills around the array of percussion instruments he plays throughout the show. Anthony Lombardo’s melodious bass playing and the steadfast drumming and exceptional vocals of Steve Stewart complete the eight piece line-up.
Gypsy, celebrating the music of Stevie Nicks, has a production value that gives their audience a stellar experience second only to the real thing.
