Uber Eats, a meal delivery app, is making inroads into the East End. The company, a provider of food delivery with full menus from participating restaurants, began offering service to parts of the Hamptons on Wednesday.
The app enables customers, through their phones, to order and then track their food delivered to their homes, businesses or even the beach, if that’s where they plan to enjoy their meal.
Jon Feldman, general manager of Uber Eats New York said the company is “doing our best to make Uber Eats accessible in as many locations as possible – and this summer, that includes many beaches and towns across Long Island.”
Uber Eats is now in Hampton Bays, Southampton, Water Mill, Shinnecock Hills, Tuckahoe and North Sea. Some of the participating restaurnats include Rumba, CowFish, Southampton Publick House, Unionn Cantina, Sundays on the Bay, Oackland’s Reaturant & Marina and Centro Trattoria & Bar.
Participating restaurant set the prices based on their menus, and there is additional a flat $9.99 booking fee for each order.
